About us

We are Matt and Fiona, the faces behind Yorkshire Short Stays. Matt is from New Zealand and Fiona is Yorkshire born and bred. After travelling the world for 17 months and experiencing varying standards of holiday accommodation we are passionate about providing the best possible experience for our guests. Fiona is also a midwife and her differing encounters with hospital staff accommodation in the UK and New Zealand have helped her to really understand the importance of comfortable and convenient temporary accommodation for professionals.

We love Yorkshire and our local community and pride ourselves in working with local businesses to provide excellent stays for new or temporary employees, contractors, insurance relocations and leisure guests.



Rules

  • Except by prior arrangement, check-in time is strictly after 4pm on the day of arrival.
  • Except by prior arrangement, check-out time is strictly before 10am on the day of departure.
  • Please, no smoking or vaping inside the house. Ashtrays are provided to dispose of cigarette butts outside.
  • Except for beds and bedside tables (e.g. pushing singles together or vice versa), please do not move the furniture.
  • We do not allow parties or events.
  • No pets please.
  • We work hard to make our houses a nice place to be for all who stay. We kindly ask that you would show our house the same respect you would your own home.
